Our Story

Here at Feed Your Temple  we believe the body is a temple—the only vehicle through which we’re able to experience life. If our body fails, our ability to live life fully and happily suffers dramatically. In light of this, we believe in nourishing our bodies through wholesome, natural, unprocessed, and TASTY food. After all, the heart of disease begins with lifestyle and the meals we sit down to three times a day have everything to do with lifestyle.

We believe in fresh fruits and vegetables, not the heavily processed, canned varieties with additives. Because really, why does a can of Del Monte Stewed Tomatoes have high fructose corn syrup? And why would we want to add that sugar to dinner? Quite frankly, we’d rather save the sweets for dessert.

On that note, you won’t see sugar or sweeteners added to our recipes because we like to make dessert in the healthiest, yet most delicious way possible. If our chocolate craving can be satisfied by a protein-rich chocolate banana pudding, then let’s save the sugar for a restaurant dessert or the homemade apple pie at the potluck this weekend.

We believe in fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients; in eating foods in their natural forms, not their heavily processed counterparts, stripped of nutrients. We believe that if our great grandmothers wouldn’t recognize it as food, we shouldn’t either.

For thousands of years food has been medicine, yet today it seems we need medicine because of our food. Here at Feed Your Temple, we believe in finding our way back to the healing properties of food; in stocking our refrigerators full of antioxidants, complete proteins, and natural digestive aids.

And perhaps most importantly in the midst of our ever so busy lives, we believe that “quick ‘n easy” doesn’t have to go out the window.
